Self-Assessment of Mental Health Conditions Such as Depression, Stress, and Anxiety Disorders
Jindo-gun Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do has installed the province's first "Check the Temperature of My Mind" mental health kiosk to support the mental health of local residents.
According to the county on the 22nd, the mental health kiosk allows individuals such as adolescents, adults, and the elderly to self-assess their mental health conditions including depression, stress, and anxiety disorders, and send the results directly via KakaoTalk.

Additionally, users can make mental health counseling appointments through the kiosk and access information about Jindo-gun Mental Health Welfare Center services, disease-specific information, and nearby mental health medical institutions.
According to the 2021 Mental Health Survey by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, one in four adults in South Korea experiences mental health issues, but only 12.1% have received counseling or treatment. In particular, only 4.5% of those diagnosed with mental disorders used mental health services in the past year.
The Jindo-gun Mental Health Welfare Center installed the mental health kiosk on the first floor of the Jindo-gun Public Health Center to improve accessibility to mental health services and raise awareness about mental health, allowing any resident to easily and conveniently check their mental health status through the kiosk.
The kiosk is available free of charge on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a guide assistant will be available until the end of May to promote and provide instructions on how to use the kiosk.

The director of Jindo-gun Public Health Center said, "We hope that anyone can easily and conveniently use mental health services through the kiosk," and added, "We will continue to do our best for the mental health of our residents."
