Off-Duty Police Officer Rescues Han River Jumper Within 1 Minute After Hearing 'Cheombeong' Splash Sound
Police Officer Mun Min-seon: "It's Something That Must Be Done"
An off-duty police officer dramatically rescued a jumper who had jumped from a Han River bridge.
According to the Han River Police Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 14th, Lieutenant Moon Min-seon was warming up for water leisure activities around 7 a.m. on the 11th when she heard a splashing sound from afar.
Based on her usual work experience, Lieutenant Moon instinctively thought it might be a jumping incident, rented a boat from a water leisure company, and found and rescued the jumper within one minute. Generally, if a person who falls from a Han River bridge is not rescued within 5 minutes, the golden time is lost.
