Government: "We will faithfully submit materials to the court... Will also provide meeting materials of the Jeongwon Assignment Committee"
The government announced on the 10th that it will submit all materials requested by the court regarding the increase in medical school quotas.
Park Min-su, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters briefing on the doctors' collective action that "we plan to faithfully submit all materials requested by the court today." Materials from the Medical School Quota Allocation Committee meetings will also be submitted.
Vice Minister Park explained, "The Medical School Quota Allocation Committee is a committee that serves as an advisory body for the Minister of Education's policy decisions and is not a statutory committee," adding, "there is no obligation to prepare minutes according to relevant laws."
However, he said, "We do have meeting results summarizing the main points discussed during the meetings, and we plan to submit these to the court."
Minutes from the Health and Medical Policy Deliberation Committee and its subordinate Medical Personnel Expert Committee will also be submitted.

Vice Minister Park stated, "The Medical Issues Consultative Body is not a statutory consultative body, and after mutual consultation with the Medical Association, detailed contents equivalent to meeting minutes have been transparently disclosed to the public through opening remarks, press releases, and joint briefings."
