Ryugyeonggi Jungnang-gu Mayor "Thank You for Parental Grace"
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held events across the district to express respect and gratitude to the elderly in celebration of Parents' Day.
First, the Mangwoo 3-dong Hyo Sarang Volunteer Group hosted a spring outing on the 3rd for elderly residents with mobility difficulties in the Gapyeong area of Gyeonggi Province. The event provided an opportunity for the elderly to escape emotional depression and loneliness, communicate with neighbors, and enjoy the spring atmosphere together.
Special events in collaboration with local welfare centers were also held. The event on the 8th involved five senior welfare centers: the Sinnae-gu Public Senior Welfare Center, Yongma-gu Public Senior Welfare Center, Sinnae-gu Public Senior Welfare Center, Junghwa-gu Public Senior Welfare Center, and the Jungnang-gu Municipal Senior Welfare Center. Each welfare center prepared unique programs such as carnation pinning, congratulatory performances, outings, thrift bazaars, food markets, various experience booths, and special meals to convey respect and gratitude to the elderly.
