'0 Calorie' Jaws Bar and Screw Bar Sell 7.2 Million Units in One Month... "Twice the Expectation"
Lotte Wellfood, First in Domestic Ice Cream Industry
7.2 Million Units Sold in First Month
Initial Shipment Exceeds 3.2 Million Units
Lotte Wellfood announced on the 8th that its zero (0) calorie ice creams, 'Screwbar 0㎉' and 'Jawsbar 0㎉', which were the first of their kind in the domestic ice cream industry, have sold approximately 7.2 million units within a month of their launch. This is more than double the initial planned quantity of 3.2 million units.
Screwbar 0㎉ and Jawsbar 0㎉ are ice cream products that can be enjoyed without worrying about calories. Instead of sugar, they use the natural sweetener allulose, delivering a sweet and refreshing fruit flavor comparable to existing products.
Lotte Wellfood, in collaboration with Lotte Central Research Institute, has also filed a patent related to the manufacturing method of ice bars using allulose. The company explained that allulose is sensitive to heat and difficult to maintain its form when exposed to water, but after persistent efforts, they developed the optimal ratio to maintain the ice bar shape.
