The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 29th that it has achieved the highest grade, Grade 2, for four consecutive years in the 2023 Public Institution Safety Management Grading System evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The Public Institution Safety Management Grading System is a system that evaluates the comprehensive safety management capabilities of public institutions with hazardous work environments such as workplaces, construction sites, and facilities, and assigns safety management grades on a five-level scale. It was introduced in 2021 and is now in its fourth year of implementation.
In the 2023 safety management grading evaluation, among 90 institutions, no institution received Grade 1 (Excellent) this year, as was the case last year, making Grade 2 (Good) effectively the highest grade. KICOX has been recognized for its comprehensive safety management capabilities and achievements in preventing major accidents by achieving the highest grade for four consecutive years since the implementation of the safety management grading system.
Following the management policy of "Reducing major accidents in industrial complexes by 20% and achieving zero major accidents in workplaces," KICOX systematically manages safety through ▲establishing and operating the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001), ▲strengthening safety management of subcontracted projects, ▲and conducting activities to spread a safety culture among the public.
