Boryeong City Provides Up to 2 Million Won Support for Frozen Egg Fertilization Procedure Fees
Support Available for De Facto Married Couples as Well
Boryeong City in Chungnam announced on the 29th that it will support the cost of frozen egg assisted reproductive technology procedures up to 2 million KRW.
The city decided to provide financial support for the procedure costs as the economic burden of frozen egg procedures has increased, leading to more cases where the procedure is not performed in a timely manner.
Couples attempting pregnancy and childbirth using frozen eggs will receive support for frozen egg thawing fees and fresh embryo in vitro fertilization procedure fees up to twice, with a maximum of 1 million KRW per procedure. Support is also provided to couples in de facto marital relationships.
For couples diagnosed with infertility, the support can be linked with the infertility couple procedure cost support program.
The procedure cost support will be available until December, but may end early if the budget is exhausted.
Those wishing to apply can visit the public health center after completing the assisted reproductive technology procedure using frozen eggs.
