On the 16th, the district signed a 'Visiting Clean Water School Business Agreement' with the Seoul Water Reuse Facility Corporation (Chairman Kwon Wan-taek) at the Seoul Water Reuse Experience Center.
As the population increased due to the development of the Magok district, the inflow of sewage also increased, raising the ongoing need to improve awareness of water conservation and resource circulation.
Accordingly, the district signed a business agreement with the Seoul Water Reuse Facility Corporation to conduct a 'Visiting Clean Water School' tour program, allowing residents to directly see and experience the entire sewage treatment process.
According to the agreement, the corporation will prioritize local residents when selecting participants to enable more residents to participate in the education.
The education will be conducted mainly through on-site experiences at the Seoul Water Reuse Experience Center, where participants can observe the circulation process of domestic wastewater generated in each household.
In addition, the district plans to operate Clean Water Guardians in each neighborhood and carry out a public-private joint river restoration campaign to spread residents' consensus on environmental protection.
