Yoon Ina's domestic comeback opponent has been decided.
The organizing committee of the Doosan Construction We’ve Championship, the opening event of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, announced on the 3rd that "Yoon Ina, Bang Shin-sil, and Hwang Yu-min have been scheduled to play together in the 1st and 2nd rounds." Yoon Ina made her appearance in this tournament for the first time in 1 year and 9 months since the Hoban Seoul Shinmun Women’s Classic in July 2022. In June 2022, she was given a three-year suspension from participating by the Korea Golf Association (KGA) and KLPGA after playing out of bounds at the DB Group 36th Korea Women’s Open, a national title event, but the suspension was recently reduced to 1 year and 6 months, opening the way for her return to the field.
Yoon Ina, Bang Shin-sil, and Hwang Yu-min are among the top long hitters on the tour. Yoon Ina attracted attention in her rookie year in 2022 with her overwhelming driving distance. She gained popularity with her powerful swing and somewhat aggressive play. Bang Shin-sil ranked first in driving distance last year. With her tall stature, she unleashed huge swings that frequently exceeded 300 yards. Hwang Yu-min was second in driving distance last year. Despite her small frame, she produced long drives with a fast and strong swing.
