One Korean Dies in Traffic Accident in Northwest South Africa
A traffic accident occurred in the northwest of the Republic of South Africa, resulting in the death of one Korean and injuries to three others.
According to local media Gemsbok on the 1st (local time), at around 5:45 PM on the 30th of last month, a Volkswagen Tiguan SUV traveling from Kakamas to Upington on the N14 road near the village of Keimoes in the Northern Cape Province collided head-on with a Volkswagen Polo passenger car coming from the opposite direction.
According to local police, one of the four Korean men in the Tiguan died in the accident. Three others were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. All four male residents of Kakamas who were in the Polo died.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident based on witness and injured parties' statements. The Korean Embassy in South Africa dispatched a consul to the scene to identify the deceased and injured Koreans, presumed to be travelers. The embassy plans to provide necessary consular assistance.
