Gong Hyo-jin, Fan Bingbing, and Tony Leung Also Rushed... Because of the Event Requested by a Billionaire
Versace Dress Sold for 370 Million Won at Charity Auction
Hong Kong billionaire Adrian Cheng, chairman of the K11 Group, and Natalia Vodianova (42), the eldest daughter-in-law of the world's largest luxury group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Mo?t Hennessy), hosted an event attended by actress Gong Hyo-jin, drawing significant attention.
On the 22nd (local time), Business Insider and others reported that Cheng and Vodianova held a charity event titled "Night of Infinite Hearts" on the 21st to help children. The event was known to support children with autism spectrum disorder or those struggling with mental health issues.
Cheng is the third-generation successor of the Cheng family, one of Hong Kong's "Big Three" wealthy families, with assets totaling $28.9 billion (approximately 39 trillion KRW). Cheng, who earned a Ph.D. in humanities from Harvard University, was selected in Fortune's "40 Under 40" in 2012. Since 2006, he has served as the CEO of New World Development, the family's core business and Hong Kong's largest real estate company. Vodianova is a model from a poor district in Russia and married Antoine Arnault, the eldest son of the LVMH group, in 2020.
About 450 people attended the charity event, including actress Gong Hyo-jin, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, Hong Kong actors Tony Leung and Carina Lau, and Libyan princess Alia Al Senussi.
The event was conducted in an auction format in collaboration with Phillips Auction. Luxury brands such as Versace and the football club Paris Saint-Germain offered various items for the auction. The most expensive item sold was an emerald green dress by Versace, which found a new owner for 370 million KRW. All other auctioned items were sold at high prices. Vodianova expressed deep gratitude to all donors, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event possible.
