April 12-14 at Daejeo Ecological Park Canola Flower Scenic Complex
The Busan Agricultural Technology Center will hold the "20th Busan Urban Agriculture Expo" from April 12 to 14 at the Canola Flower Scenic Complex in Daejeo Ecological Park, Gangseo-gu.
Started in 2005 as the nation's first event of its kind, the "Busan Urban Agriculture Expo," now celebrating its 20th anniversary, has been promoting the true value of agriculture to citizens and spreading urban farming, where city residents cultivate nature. It has also contributed to creating a green smart city capable of sustainable development in the era of climate crisis and to the mutual growth of agriculture and the city.
This year's expo will present various types of agricultural planned exhibitions under the theme "The Healing Scent of Canola Flowers, Spring of Busan Agriculture."
The expo will see the participation of numerous agricultural-related groups, including farmers, the NongHyup (National Agricultural Cooperative Federation), urban agriculture experts, agricultural schools, and related organizations.
Through this expo, planned exhibitions related to ▲Green Smart Busan Agriculture ▲Urban Agriculture for Citizen Happiness ▲Healing Agriculture Seeking Exciting Vitality ▲Companion Agriculture Where Plants and Animals Coexist ▲Scenic Agriculture Enjoying Beautiful Landscapes will be held.
In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions harmonized with the canola flower fields, various experiential events for both farmers and citizens, as well as workshops, academic events, contests, and competitions.
There will be diverse attractions such as ▲Theme Pavilion ▲Planned Exhibition Hall ▲Photo Zones, and various experiential events including ▲Tomato Salad Sharing ▲Vegetable Seedling Planting ▲Walking through the Canola Flower Fields.
Especially this year, to commemorate the enactment of the Healing Agriculture Ordinance and to leap forward as a healing agriculture city, various healing agriculture experiential activities such as ▲Creating Healing Gardens ▲Companion Plant Care (Repotting) ▲Farm Parties will be showcased.
Moreover, academic events exploring the multifunctional value and development direction of agriculture will be held, including ▲Urban Agriculture Policy Workshops ▲Korea Master Gardener Conference ▲Citizen Agriculture Field Academy, along with contests and competitions such as ▲National Garden Design Contest ▲Busan Agricultural Products National Cooking Exhibition ▲National Elementary School Urban Agriculture Drawing Contest ▲Special Class Horticulture Competition.
