Composed of 200 university students, the supporter groups from both companies will form a total of 33 teams and carry out a joint marketing contest for about three months. Practitioners from KT and Samsung Electronics will participate as mentors for each team and conduct mentoring once a week.
This collaboration was born through discussions between the two companies to discover new marketing ideas for telecommunication services and devices. From partnership ideas with other industries to planning new products and services, as well as brand promotion plans targeting the 10s and 20s generation, the two companies will propose fresh ideas from the perspective of people in their 20s on various ways to revitalize Galaxy and telecommunication products selected together.
The top five outstanding teams selected through the preliminary round will be awarded a total prize of 8 million KRW. The first-place team will also receive the latest Galaxy device additionally. Excellent ideas will also provide students with opportunities to directly participate in business. In addition, activities such as ESG (environment, social, and governance) plogging and content creation will be conducted together.
Im Seong-taek, Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “Starting with this joint collaboration, we plan to operate various programs to become a friendly and admired Galaxy brand among university students.”
