View original imageSeoul Auction announced on the 8th that it will hold the 'Contemporary Art Sale' March planned auction at the Gangnam Center in Seoul on the 29th.
This auction features the work "Youth is Flower" by singer G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong), drawing attention. The starting price is 30 million won. It is a 2017 piece measuring 195.5×45.6 cm, created with markers and spray paint on a steel plate.
G-Dragon previously showcased his unique interest and affection for contemporary art by planning the exhibition "Peace Minus One - Beyond the Stage" at the Seoul Museum of Art in 2015. This work is expected to attract attention as it is a painting he personally created.
The front dot painting "3-B-71 #203" by Kim Whanki, a first-generation Korean abstract artist, is also seeking a new owner. The estimated price of this work is between 5 billion and 8 billion won.
Including this, the auction features a total of 85 works, with an estimated value of at least 18 billion won, including Kim Chang-yeol's "Drops," a set of 10 prints of Andy Warhol's "Campbell's Soup II," and Kusama Yayoi's "Pumpkin."

The preview exhibition will be held at the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center. Some works will be moved to the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for exhibition from the 25th to the 28th.
