Gochang-gun Promotes Green Remodeling Project for Health Institutions

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 7th that it has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public project and will promote a green remodeling project for health institutions with a total budget of 2.076 billion KRW.

By October, six health clinics including Deoksan, Geumpyeong, and Gwandong in Gochang-gun, as well as the Mental Health Welfare Center and the Asan and Daesan health branches, will be newly renovated.

Gochang-gun has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's public project and will promote the Green Remodeling Project for health institutions with a total of 2.076 billion KRW.

The project mainly focuses on improving the energy performance of health institution facilities through insulation work inside and outside the buildings, installation of high-efficiency windows, heating and cooling systems, and boilers.

In addition, solar power generation facilities will be installed to secure self-produced energy.

Following a safety inspection conducted during the thawing season on 12 health branches and 24 health clinics, facilities requiring repairs, such as the Gwandong Health Clinic, will be addressed alongside this remodeling project.

Yoo Byung-su, Director of the Gochang-gun Health Center, said, “Through the green remodeling project, we will upgrade the energy efficiency of local health institutions and strive to improve the quality of life by providing better medical environments for residents.”
