Government Approves 128.5 Billion KRW Reserve Fund to Minimize Medical Confusion
The government announced on the 6th that it has reviewed and approved the expenditure of 128.5 billion won in contingency funds at the Cabinet meeting to minimize disruptions in medical sites caused by recent collective actions by doctors.
The contingency funds will be used to support labor costs for medical personnel on night and holiday emergency duty, dispatch public health doctors to private hospitals, and temporarily support the hiring of medical personnel to fill the gap left by residents.

Additionally, to ensure that patients with severe or emergency conditions receive timely treatment, the funds will support inter-hospital transfers based on patient severity and cover ambulance fees for patients transferred to regional hospitals capable of providing treatment.
