Seongnam City Provides Up to 700,000 KRW for Restaurant Environment Improvement Projects
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 700,000 KRW to improve the environment of local restaurants.
On the 6th, Seongnam City announced plans to support a total of 120 establishments with up to 700,000 KRW per business for cleaning costs to enhance hygiene levels and promote a safe dining culture.
The support targets include 50 small general restaurants with a business area of 100㎡ or less and 70 general/restaurants, cafes, and bakeries that have been designated with hygiene grades by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for over a year.
Seongnam City will cover costs for cleaning kitchen hoods, ducts, and ventilators, as well as cleaning the interior of the establishment such as floors and walls, provided the eligibility requirements are met.

A Seongnam City official stated, "Businesses wishing to receive cleaning cost support should prepare and submit various documents such as the application form, business registration certificate, and local tax payment certificate on the website from March 11 to 22."
