Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held an awards ceremony and appointment ceremony for the Guro-gu newsletter citizen reporters on February 28.
Citizen reporters directly discover desired reporting topics each month and write articles that are published in the Guro-gu newsletter, "Guro-ga Johta."
The district appoints both child reporters and adult reporters as citizen reporters to inform residents about various district news and lifestyle information through content such as resident interviews, school pride, neighborhood explorations (child reporters), and district project promotions and special reports (adult reporters).
At the event, District Mayor Moon Heon-il attended and awarded a commendation to one child reporter who actively worked as a citizen reporter over the past year, and newly appointed six citizen reporters for 2024 (four child reporters and two adult reporters).
The reporters attending the event asked Mayor Moon Heon-il questions about this year's district administration direction and had a session learning how to take photos for newsletter articles.

Mayor Moon Heon-il said, "I extend my congratulations to the citizen reporters who received awards and newly appointed certificates today," and added, "I hope you will continue to work hard to promote district affairs this year as well."
