Two Men in Their 20s Arrested for Fleeing with Gold Bracelets from Jewelry Store
Men in their 20s who posed as customers at a jewelry store and stole precious metals worth tens of millions of won were caught by the police.
On the 29th, the Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju announced that they have arrested and are investigating men in their 20s, Mr. A and Mr. B, on charges of special theft.
They are suspected of stealing a gold bracelet weighing 50 don, worth approximately 22 million won, from a jewelry store in Wolgye-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, at around 5:10 p.m. on the 28th.
According to the police investigation, they divided roles such as theft and lookout, pretended to act as if they were going to buy the precious metals, and feigned wearing the gold bracelet before fleeing.
With no special occupation, they sold the stolen gold bracelet at a pawnshop and stated that they committed the crime to cover living expenses.

The police tracked their escape route and arrested Mr. A and Mr. B in succession, recovered the stolen items, and plan to apply for arrest warrants for Mr. A and others after accurately determining the details of the case.
