Digital Literacy Education Guide Developed by Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education
View original imageThe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has developed the 'Digital Literacy Education Guide Materials' revised in 2022, becoming the first in the nation to do so.
On the 27th, the Office announced that it developed the materials together with on-site teachers to guide the digital literacy framework of the 2022 revised curriculum and to foster digital literacy linked to subject-specific achievement standards.
The main contents included in the materials are ▲ Digital literacy in the 2022 revised curriculum ▲ Characteristics of subject achievement standards by digital literacy domain ▲ Analysis of the linkage between detailed digital literacy elements and subject achievement standards ▲ Examples of digital literacy teaching and learning by subject.
The materials will be distributed in e-book format and can be downloaded through the Integrated Materials Room of the Future Education Division on the Office of Education’s website.

Ha Mijin, head of the Future Education Division at the Office of Education, stated, "Digital literacy education linked to all subjects emphasized in the 2022 revised curriculum is education aimed at nurturing digital citizens equipped with character and competencies," adding, "We hope that the digital literacy education materials, produced for the first time nationwide, will help in the practice of digital citizenship education."
