Gachon University, Electric Degree Conferment Ceremony on the 22nd... President Lee Gil-yeo: "Build Your Legacy"
Gachon University held the ‘2023 Academic Year Spring Degree Conferment Ceremony’ on the 22nd at the University Ye-eum Hall.
At the ceremony, Gachon University awarded degrees to a total of 3,730 graduates, including 141 doctoral, 492 master’s, and 3,097 bachelor’s degree recipients.
About 3,000 people attended the ceremony, including Gachon University President Lee Gil-yeo, Senior Vice President Choi Mi-ri, other academic officials, Song Seong-geun, president of the Gachon University Alumni Association, parents, and graduates.
The top graduates of the day were Kim Eun-seo (female, 22) from the Department of Korean Language and Literature and Jeong Min-kyung (female, 23) from the Department of Law.
In his congratulatory speech titled “Build lifelong resilience and live with multiple careers!”, President Lee Gil-yeo emphasized, "Life is a struggle between external forces and internal strength. Just as a building with strong internal strength can withstand numerous natural disasters, a person with strong resilience can overcome many environmental changes. To stay ahead of astonishing technological advancements such as generative AI ChatGPT and brain implants that embed computer chips into the human brain, you must never stop and continuously develop your own resilience through lifelong learning."
