Dong-Eui University Dignitas Liberal Arts Education Research Institute Signs Agreement with Korean Society for AI Ethics and Others
Cooperation in Establishing AI Ecosystem: Academic Research and Ethics Certification Fields
The Dignitas Liberal Arts Education Research Institute at Dong-Eui University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 5th at Seoul National University of Education with the Korean Society for Artificial Intelligence Ethics (President Byun Sun-yong) and the Busan IT Convergence Components Research Institute at Dong-Eui University (Director Lee Im-geon) to promote academic exchange.

View original imageThrough this agreement, each institution agreed to mutually cooperate in research activities, hosting academic conferences, and policies and education related to AI ethics certification to establish an AI ecosystem through the integrative combination of liberal arts, ethics, and certification systems based on posthumanism.
Yoon Hye-kyung, director of the Dignitas Liberal Arts Education Research Institute, stated, “Through this agreement, universities, local governments, and companies will establish organic relationships regarding internal and external issues surrounding artificial intelligence, which is expected to help innovatively reorganize both theory and practice related to AI.”
The Dignitas Liberal Arts Education Research Institute at Dong-Eui University is the first university-affiliated research institute dedicated to liberal arts education R&D in the southeastern region. It is conducting the second phase of the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute Support Project linked to education. Its academic journal, Journal of Liberal Arts Education Practice Research, has been selected as a KCI-registered journal, providing a platform to encompass the practical world of liberal arts education and producing excellent research outcomes in the field of posthumanism.
The Korean Society for Artificial Intelligence Ethics, founded in 2020, strengthens theoretical academic research capabilities on ethical issues of AI technology and promotes the development of curricula related to AI technology use in cooperation with domestic and international specialized fields.
