Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it was selected as the 'Best District' by receiving the highest grade, Grade A, in the 2023 Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation.
The 'Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation' is a system conducted annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, evaluating services at the frontline of public contact across a total of 306 public institutions nationwide. The district achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as an excellent institution for four consecutive years.
This evaluation was based on a total of 20 indicators across three areas: ▲civil service administrative management foundation ▲civil service administrative activities ▲civil service processing performance.
The district received high scores in areas such as the civil service performance of the institution's head, provision of administrative services for vulnerable civil service groups, and handling of grievance civil complaints.
In particular, it was recognized for increasing resident satisfaction by providing demand-oriented customized civil services.
One-on-one guide assistants were operated for residents visiting the civil service office to help promptly process necessary tasks, receiving great responses.
They also operated a real-time notification service on passport civil complaint waiting status to resolve resident inconvenience caused by long waiting times, striving to implement fast and convenient smart administration.
Additionally, various civil services for socially considerate subjects are being provided.
Representative examples include ▲foreign civil complaint interpretation using staff interpreters ▲dedicated counters for vulnerable civil service groups such as foreigners, disabled persons, and the elderly ▲operation of sign language interpretation video phones.
Furthermore, the district actively operates the ombudsman system to protect residents' rights and interests, and received excellent evaluations for proactive and preemptive handling of grievance civil complaints and civil complaints through the National Sinmungo system.
Along with this, the district promoted practical policies to boost morale and create a safe working environment for responsible public officials, such as ▲psychological counseling support ▲operation of healing programs ▲introduction of wearable cameras and conducting mock drills to prepare for special civil complaints.
