Gurye-gun Supports Installation of Eco-Friendly Boilers

Support of 800,000 Won per Unit for Socially Vulnerable Groups

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 20th, it will promote the ‘Eco-friendly Boiler Supply Project for Socially Vulnerable Groups’ and the ‘Household Eco-friendly Boiler Installation Support Project.’

The support target for the ‘Eco-friendly Boiler Supply Project for Socially Vulnerable Groups’ is socially vulnerable groups residing in Gurye-gun as of the application date (basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty groups, registered disabled persons, national merit recipients, etc.). The total support quantity this time is 5 units, with a support amount of 800,000 KRW per unit.

The supported eco-friendly boilers include gas boilers (environment mark certified products) and electric boilers. However, in areas where city gas supply is difficult, type 2 boilers (oil, LPG) certified for household boilers are also supported.

Applications for support can be made by visiting the local eup/myeon office or the Environmental Division of the county office. If selected as a beneficiary, the applicant must replace the old boiler with an eco-friendly boiler or newly install one within 30 days from the selection date and then claim the subsidy.

The support target for the ‘Household Eco-friendly Boiler Installation Support Project’ is low-income and vulnerable groups installing household eco-friendly boilers fueled by city gas (LNG). From this year, multi-child families (two or more children) with a basic median income of 70% or less and social welfare facilities are also included in the support targets.

The supported household eco-friendly boilers are condensing gas boilers with a gas consumption of 70kW or less and certified with an environmental label. The total support quantity is 5 units, with a support amount of 600,000 KRW per unit.

Applications for the ‘Household Eco-friendly Boiler Installation Support Project’ must be made by visiting the Environmental Division of the county office. Both prior and post applications are possible. However, if a prior application is made, the old boiler must be replaced with an eco-friendly boiler or newly installed within 30 days from the selection date, and then the subsidy must be claimed.

An official from the county said, “We hope many residents will apply for the eco-friendly boiler support project, which can reduce air pollutants and save heating costs.”
