[Breaking] Swimming Hwang Sunwoo Wins Gold in 200m Freestyle at World Championships
Hwang Sun-woo (21), the flagship of Korean swimming, won the gold medal in the men's 200m freestyle at the 2024 International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships.
On the 14th (Korean time), Hwang Sun-woo touched the pad first with a time of 1 minute 44.75 seconds in the men's 200m freestyle final at the 2024 FINA World Championships held at Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar.

Hwang Sun-woo became the third Korean swimmer to win a gold medal at the World Championships, following Park Tae-hwan and Kim Woo-min. He is the first to win gold in the 200m event. Both Park Tae-hwan and Kim Woo-min won gold in the 400m event.
