Prosecutors Summon Park Young-yu, Daewoo Winia Chairman, for 30 Billion Won Wage Arrears Allegation
The prosecution is summoning and investigating Park Young-yu, chairman of Daeyu Winia Group, on charges of withholding workers' wages and severance pay.

The Criminal Division 1 of Seongnam Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Heo Hoon) is summoning Park Young-yu, chairman of Daeyu Winia Group, as a suspect on the 13th for investigation on charges of wage arrears amounting to around 30 billion KRW.
The prosecution is expanding the investigation to the higher-ups of Park Hyun-chul, CEO of Winia Electronics, who is currently on trial for withholding hundreds of billions of KRW in wages and severance pay. Chairman Park is accused of violating the Labor Standards Act by withholding approximately 30.2 billion KRW in wages and severance pay for 393 workers from early May 2022 to August last year.

Earlier, the prosecution stated during the trial of CEO Park on charges including violation of the Labor Standards Act, "We are conducting additional investigations into Chairman Park regarding the case of withheld wages and related matters."
