Director Kim Deok-young of the documentary film 'The Founding War,' which deals with the life and politics of former President Syngman Rhee, said to Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, "I hope you can feel Syngman Rhee's leadership and political sense that were ahead of his time."
On the 13th, Director Kim said through his Facebook, "As the most promising next-generation presidential candidate in current politics, I hope he keeps Syngman Rhee's pure 'patriotism' in his heart."

At the 46th Jeju Forum of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry last July, Han said, "Personally, I think the land reform of 1950 was one of the most decisive moments that brought the Republic of Korea to where it is today," and added, "If it had not happened, I think Korea would be a very different country now."
Director Kim said, "I appreciated Chairman Han Dong-hoon's words," and "That is why I included his speech scene in the film." He said, "It was a remark praising Syngman Rhee's achievements in land reform," and added, "I think it was the first statement highly evaluating Syngman Rhee's merits as a member of the Korean Cabinet after the April 19 Revolution in 1960."
He continued, "His words clearly show where the prosperity and development of today's Republic of Korea began," emphasizing, "In fact, many economic experts find the cause of Korea's miraculous economic development in the success of land reform."
