[Law Firm Now] Taepyungyang Holds Seminar on 'Regulatory Improvement Tasks in Preparation for Crypto Spring'
Law firm Pacific (Limited) will hold a seminar on the topic of "Institutional Improvement Tasks in Preparation for the Crypto Spring (Boom Period of Virtual Assets)."
Pacific announced on the 13th that it will hold the 2024 BKL Blockchain/Virtual Asset Seminar on this topic on the 22nd at the conference hall on the 1st floor of KRX Korea Exchange in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
At this seminar prepared by Pacific's Digital Finance Group, the first session will cover "The Necessity of Allowing Corporate Accounts for Virtual Asset Exchanges," the second session will discuss "The Role of Market Makers in the Virtual Asset Market," and the third session will examine "Implications of the U.S. Bitcoin Spot ETF Approval."
In the first session, Emily Parker, Executive Director of CoinDesk, will present on "The Status of Corporate Name Accounts at Overseas Exchanges and Regulatory Trends," Jinsuk Cho, CEO of CODA, will speak on "Regulations and Improvement Directions Related to Corporate Accounts for Virtual Asset Exchanges," and Yeontak Choi, Managing Director at Samjong KPMG, will present on "Accounting and Disclosure Standards in Response to the Expansion of Corporate Acquisition, Holding, and Disposal of Virtual Assets."
Following the presentations, the first session discussion will be chaired by lawyer Jongbaek Park of Pacific, with panelists including the presenters as well as Jongseung Kim, Head of SK Telecom Web 3.0 Team, Minseop Yoon, Head of Policy at DAXA, and Sangrok Oh, CEO of Hyperism.
In the second session, lawyer Youngjoo Park of Pacific will present on "Prospects for the Role of Market Makers Following the Enforcement of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act."
Finally, in the third session, Hyunwoo Lee, CEO of CrossAngle, will present on "The Meaning and Effects of the U.S. Bitcoin Spot ETF Approval and Its Impact on Korea."
The subsequent discussion will include CEO Lee along with Dongwon Ko, Professor at Sungkyunkwan University Law School, Hyukseon Ryu, Professor in the Department of Management Engineering at KAIST, and Jinhwan Yoo, Team Leader at Samsung Asset Management.
