Im Sungjae, Kuchar, Ingster, Ochoa Team Up as Veterans
Woods Expected to Hire Bennett Through April Masters
The choice of the "Golf Emperor" Tiger Woods (USA) was a veteran caddie.
On the 12th (local time), the American golf media Golfweek reported, "Woods will team up with Lance Bennett at this week's opening PGA Tour Genesis Invitational." It added, "Woods will work with Bennett through the Genesis Invitational, the fifth major The Players Championship, and the prestigious Masters," but "it is uncertain whether Woods will continue to employ Bennett as his caddie after the Masters."
Bennett recently served as caddie for Im Sung-jae, making him familiar to Korean fans. He carried the golf bag when Matt Kuchar (USA) won The Players Championship in 2012. He has also worked with star players on the LPGA Tour such as Juli Inkster, Paula Creamer (both USA), and Lorena Ochoa (Mexico).

Woods will participate in the Genesis Invitational (total prize money $20 million), held over four days starting on the 15th at Riviera Country Club (par 71, 7,322 yards) in Pacific Palisades, California, USA. This marks Woods' return to a regular PGA Tour event after 10 months since withdrawing midway through the Masters in April last year. After the Masters, he underwent ankle surgery and ended his season. Following treatment and rehabilitation, he has finally completed preparations to return to the field.
