Following a tie for 14th at last week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, this marks his second consecutive top 15 finish.
Kim Si-woo exchanged one birdie and one bogey over the eight holes postponed due to bad weather the previous day, then swept up five birdies (one bogey) in the fourth round. After birdies on the 4th and 7th holes gave him momentum, he took a brief breather with a bogey on the 11th hole (par 4). He then surged with three birdies on the 13th, 15th, and 17th holes, climbing the leaderboard. He relied on his 'pinpoint iron shots' with a green hit rate of 83.33% as his driving force.
Nick Taylor (Canada) shot 6-under-par to tie with Charlie Hoffman (USA) at 21-under-par 263, then secured the winning birdie on the second hole of the playoff resumed at the 18th hole (par 4). This is his fourth career win, his first in eight months since the RBC Canadian Open last June, with a winner's prize of $1,584,000 (approximately 2.1 billion KRW). Hoffman fought hard with a 7-under-par but had to settle for runner-up. World No. 1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler (USA) finished tied for 3rd place (18-under-par 266). Sam Burns tied for 3rd, and Jordan Spieth (both USA) tied for 6th (14-under-par 270).
