Busan City will operate emergency medical treatment situation rooms at the city and each district and county public health center during the Lunar New Year holiday (February 9?12).
This operation of emergency medical treatment situation rooms is prepared to respond to emergency patients and mass patient occurrences during the Lunar New Year holiday, and to minimize citizens' inconvenience in using medical institutions and pharmacies due to the holiday medical service gap.
It is part of the Lunar New Year emergency patient emergency medical treatment measures, which include plans for designating and operating medical institutions and pharmacies that will be open.
The situation rooms will continuously monitor the status of medical institutions during the Lunar New Year holiday and guide citizens to medical institutions and pharmacies that are open.
In addition, to prepare for mass patient occurrences due to disaster situations, an enhanced emergency communication system will be established with rapid response teams at public health centers and disaster medical support teams at disaster base hospitals, and emergency medical treatment systems for each institution will be maintained at all times to respond quickly to emergency situations.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, 37 emergency medical institutions (facilities), including Dong-A University Hospital, a regional emergency medical center, will operate normally 24 hours a day as usual.
670 medical institutions and 1,099 pharmacies are also designated as open medical institutions during the holiday period, allowing patients to receive treatment on designated dates during the holiday.
Information on open medical institutions and pharmacies can be obtained through the city’s Baro Call Center, 119 comprehensive situation room, and district and county public health center emergency medical treatment situation rooms.
It can also be checked through the city’s official website, the Central Emergency Medical Center website, and the smartphone application "Emergency Medical Information Service (e-gen)".
On the 8th, Lee Sora, Director of the City Citizen Health Bureau, visited a night emergency medical institution to directly inspect the on-site situation to ensure there are no gaps in the emergency medical treatment system during the Lunar New Year holiday, and listened to the difficulties of medical staff and workers, offering them warm encouragement.
