Goseong-gun, "We Will Do Our Best to Make the Lunar New Year Warm and Heartfelt"
Promotion of 'Seol Holiday Comprehensive Measures'
Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing a 'Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Plan' to ensure that residents can spend a safe and comfortable holiday during the Lunar New Year, a traditional national holiday.
This comprehensive plan consists of 32 measures across five areas: strengthening resident safety, seamless administration, stabilizing living costs, supporting marginalized groups, and more.
First, from January 9 to 12, during the Lunar New Year holiday, Goseong-gun will operate a comprehensive situation room composed of 11 teams, including a general situation team, disaster and accident response team, and medical response team, to promptly monitor local conditions and respond to emergencies during the holiday period.
An emergency medical situation room will be operated during the holiday, and information on emergency medical institutions, hospitals and clinics open during the holiday, and pharmacies will be promoted through notices and the official website.
In addition, thorough preventive activities will be carried out against natural disasters, social disasters, forest fires, fires, and livestock epidemics, with preemptive safety inspections and guidance enforcement activities planned for each sector.
To prevent inconvenience in daily civil complaints such as water supply and waste disposal, an emergency water supply standby team and a mobile garbage cleaning team will be operated to ensure no disruption in public service use during the holiday.
Pre-inspection activities for major transportation infrastructure such as roads will be strengthened during the holiday, and a special traffic measures comprehensive situation room will be operated to monitor real-time traffic conditions and receive and address various traffic inconveniences.
From January 9 to 12, a special price stabilization inspection period will be designated, with a price countermeasures comprehensive situation room led by the deputy governor operating continuously. Additionally, a local price stabilization task force will be run, consisting of public officials, price inspectors, consumer groups, and related organizations to check compliance with price labeling regulations.
Furthermore, 16 essential Lunar New Year items will be designated as priority management targets to monitor price trends, and price information will be continuously disclosed through the price information system to encourage price increase restraint.
Moreover, various supports such as discounted sales of Goseong Love Gift Certificates and Onnuri Gift Certificates, traditional market shopping events, and the Dinosaur Country Shopping Mall's Lunar New Year Dadream event will be held to revitalize the local commercial district.
For a warm and heartfelt holiday, visits and support activities will be conducted for social welfare facilities, elderly living alone, and veterans. In addition, meals will be provided to 516 children at risk of food insecurity during the holiday, and safety management of social welfare facilities regarding fire, electricity, and gas will be strengthened.
To prevent misconduct such as bribery and negligence of duty during the four-day holiday, public service discipline inspections will be conducted. Both overt and covert inspections will be carried out, focusing on public service discipline violations, security management lapses prone to negligence, and neglect of emergency duties.
