"Escape from Smartphone and Dopamine Addiction" SKT's Counterintuitive Event
Experience Exhibition at Hongdae T Factory
Try 'Dopamine Detox' After Storing Your Phone
SK Telecom is hosting an experiential event to help the younger generation break free from dopamine addiction.
SKT is holding an interactive exhibition titled "Songgeul Songgeul Jjimjilbang, We Drain Your Dopamine" at T Factory, an ICT complex cultural space located in Hongdae, Seoul, until the 31st of next month.
This exhibition was planned with the intention of resolving smartphone overdependence and dopamine addiction. It is especially notable as a counterintuitive exhibition that encourages customers to temporarily put down their smartphones within a mobile carrier's service experience space.
Participants must store their smartphones separately and enter the exhibition space designed with a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) concept. After assessing their own dopamine addiction levels, they experience a "dopamine detox" through activities such as reading, meditation, and solving quizzes. Upon completing the experience, customers receive a towel engraved with their name as a certificate.
