BNK Gyeongnam Bank Pays KRW 40 Million for Korean Red Cross Special Membership Fee
Used as funding for projects such as support for marginalized groups
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 1st that it has paid the '2024 Korean Red Cross Special Membership Fee' to the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter to take the lead in spreading the culture of sharing.
The 40 million KRW special membership fee for the Korean Red Cross, jointly prepared by BNK Gyeongnam Bank and BNK Busan Bank, will be used as funds for various humanitarian projects promoted by the Korean Red Cross, including support for marginalized groups.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank pays special membership fees annually to the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter and the Korean Red Cross Ulsan Metropolitan City Chapter.
Jae-moon Lim, Executive Director of the Management Strategy Headquarters, visited the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter and presented the '2024 Korean Red Cross Special Membership Fee Payment Certificate' to Chairman Hee-soon Park.
Executive Director Lim stated, “The Red Cross membership fees are used in various ways, such as relief for disaster victims domestically and internationally, livelihood support for low-income families, and support for medically underserved groups. We hope many local residents will participate in paying the Red Cross membership fees that deliver hope. In 2024, BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to contribute to spreading the culture of sharing by promoting various social contribution activities, including the payment of the Korean Red Cross special membership fee.”
