Park Gyuntaek, Gwangju Gwangsangap Preliminary Candidate, "We Will Conduct a Fair Election Starting with Ourselves"
Operation of Independent Illegal Election Reporting Center and Election Fraud Monitoring Team
Park Gyuntaek, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for Gwangsan-gu (Gap), Gwangju Metropolitan City, is striving to establish a transparent and fair election culture where justice and common sense prevail.
On the 30th, Park Gyuntaek's campaign headquarters announced that they will operate a 'Self-operated Illegal Election Reporting Center' and an 'Election Fraud Monitoring Team.'
Considering the importance of these activities, Park Jongwon, the head of the operations headquarters, was appointed as the director responsible for the Illegal Election Reporting Center and the Election Fraud Monitoring Team. The team members working alongside the director in the monitoring team are composed of outstanding volunteers with relevant expertise.
The reporting center and monitoring team plan to operate 24 hours a day throughout the entire Gwangsan-gu (Gap) electoral district until the end of the election, monitoring illegal election activities by supporters of candidate Park.
A representative from Park's campaign headquarters stated, "From the start of this National Assembly election until the end of voting, we aim for a fair and clean election, and no illegal election activities should be tolerated. Through this election, we will strive to establish a transparent and fair election culture in the Gwangsan area where justice and common sense live."
In particular, the Election Fraud Monitoring Team plans to strictly and thoroughly monitor the three major election crimes: provision of money or entertainment, spreading false information, and other illegal activities.
