Ha Heon-sik, the People Power Party preliminary candidate for Seo-gu (Gap), Gwangju Metropolitan City, completed his preliminary candidate registration on the 30th and officially launched his election campaign.
Earlier, on the 25th, Ha held a press conference at the Gwangju Metropolitan Council to announce his candidacy for the 22nd National Assembly election in the Seo-gu Gap electoral district of Gwangju.
Ha stated, "I am running for the National Assembly election to fully overcome the critical era that South Korea is facing and to secure the victory of liberal democracy."
He continued, "For regional development, it is essential to have a ruling party member of the National Assembly," adding, "If elected, I will devote myself entirely to regional development and the growth of South Korea without hesitation."

Meanwhile, preliminary candidate Ha Heon-sik graduated from Chosun University Graduate School and has served as an adjunct professor at Chosun University, chairman of the People Power Party Seo-gu Gap branch in Gwangju, proportional representative candidate for the 21st Future Korea Party, member of the Presidential Committee for National Integration, and chairman of the People Power Party Seo-gu Eul branch in Gwangju. For over 20 years, he has led efforts to revive conservatism in Honam, a conservative stronghold, and has been active as a representative conservative politician in the region.
