Yeonsinnae Station Expected to Emerge as Economic and Cultural Hub with Quadruple Station Area
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 25th that Yeonsinnae Station has been added to the newly announced 2nd phase GTX-E line by the government.
The newly established GTX-E line is a route connecting Incheon~Daejang~Deokso, with Yeonsinnae Station newly added. Additionally, Yeonsinnae Station is a station served by GTX-A, which is expected to greatly help in resolving transportation disparities.
The GTX-E line is reflected in the 5th National Railroad Network Plan, and to expedite the project, it is planned to simultaneously pass the preliminary feasibility study within the current government's term.
In particular, with the addition of GTX-E to Yeonsinnae Station, which includes the GTX-A opening this year, it is expected that a large-scale economic complex connecting Bulgwang Station and Seoul Innovation Park will be created, earning the station the nickname "Quadruple Station Area."
Eunpyeong-gu plans to promote the reorganization of the Yeonsinnae district unit plan and induce complex development linked to the station area to foster it as a representative economic and cultural hub of northwest Seoul.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “With the blueprint of transportation infrastructure encompassing east, west, south, and north centered on Yeonsinnae Station being drawn, we will widely promote excellent cultural contents such as the National Korean Literature Museum, Hanok Village, and Jingwansa Temple, and the development of economic infrastructure including Seoul Innovation Park will gain further momentum. We will also ensure the smooth progress of various cultural and economic priority projects currently underway in the district.”
