Gapyeong Lifelong Learning Center Breaks Ground at End of January... 23 Billion Won Invested
The ‘Lifelong Learning Center’ in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, will break ground at the end of January.
The Gapyeong Lifelong Learning Center will be constructed with a total floor area of 4,657㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors, with a project budget of 23 billion KRW.
The Gapyeong Lifelong Learning Center will feature various experiential practice rooms such as VR·AR experience rooms, creative rooms, and beauty and health practice rooms to develop the growth potential of residents marginalized from education and to enhance their social activity capabilities.
Gyeonggi-do expects that once the Gapyeong Lifelong Learning Center is completed, it will provide residents with more equitable learning opportunities and educational services through diverse educational content and programs.
Gyeonggi-do has been promoting the project through cooperation with Gapyeong-gun to shorten administrative procedures and manage the construction schedule.

Yoon Seong-jin, Director of the Balanced Development Planning Office of Gyeonggi-do, stated, "We have made efforts to shorten the administrative procedure period, including changes to architectural design, construction technology review, and contract requests to the Public Procurement Service, to commence construction of the Lifelong Learning Center." He added, "We will do our best in safety and progress management as well as budget support to ensure the project is completed normally within the planned period."
