On the 23rd, Seo-gu District Office in Gwangju Metropolitan City appointed eight licensed real estate agents as Housing Safety Managers at the Seo-gu Office Nanum Hall to support stable monthly rent contracts for single-person households.

According to Seo-gu on the 24th, the Housing Safety Managers, composed of licensed real estate agents with over five years of field experience, provide monthly rent contract consultations, accompany house viewings, and assist in housing searches for single-person households, such as young adults, who face difficulties in real estate contracts.

The Housing Safety Managers will offer specialized consultations related to contracts, including analysis of building register documents and verification of landlords' national and local tax payments, as well as customized consultations through guidance on surrounding monthly rent prices and contract precautions.

Additionally, when a client requests accompaniment for house viewings, the manager will visit the site together after separate consultation, advising on necessary matters such as the presence of illegal buildings or defects. If a female client requests, accompaniment by a same-gender manager is also available.

The service will be provided free of charge every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, starting next month through December.

Applications are open to any single-person household regardless of age and can be made by visiting or calling the Land Information Division of Seo-gu Office.

Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu District Office, stated, “No matter how good policies are implemented after rental fraud occurs, they cannot heal the residents' suffering. We will prioritize proactive policies for prevention as the best method and continue to support residents for stable housing settlement.”
