Suwon City to Survey Dream Start Children by End of Next Month... Customized Support
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is seeking children eligible for the Dream Start program by the 29th of next month to enhance the program's effectiveness and sustainability.
Suwon plans to survey 2,084 children aged 12 and under from basic livelihood security, near-poverty, and single-parent families, using a combination of mail, telephone consultations, and home visits to assess child development, caregiving environment, and household characteristics.
Based on the survey results, Suwon will provide tailored integrated child services to case-managed children. Additionally, the city will strengthen parent education programs for caregivers.
Suwon currently offers various customized services to Dream Start case-managed children, including child health checkups, support for ophthalmology, dentistry, psychological therapy, and rattan craft activities.

A Suwon city official emphasized, "Every child has the right to an equal starting opportunity and to realize their infinite potential and capabilities," adding, "Suwon Dream Start will take the lead to ensure children can grow up healthy with dreams and hope."
