Joint Briefing Session on SME Support Policies Held
136 Billion Won Budget Allocated for Corporate Support This Year
On the 22nd, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 23rd that it held the '2024 Joint Briefing on Small and Medium Enterprise Support Policies' at City Hall in collaboration with the Yongin Industrial Promotion Agency to explain support policies for local small and medium-sized enterprises.
Eleven organizations participated in the briefing, including ▲Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration ▲Small and Medium Business Corporation ▲Korea Technology Finance Corporation ▲Korea Credit Guarantee Fund ▲Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation ▲Small Enterprise and Market Service ▲Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion ▲KOTRA Gyeonggi Support Group ▲Gyeonggi Technopark ▲Yongin Chamber of Commerce and Industry ▲Yongin Industrial Promotion Agency.

These organizations explained policy directions and major projects to support small and medium enterprises, such as ▲funding and financial support ▲market and export support ▲research and development support, and held direct consultation sessions with company representatives.
Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin said, "Since taking office, I have believed that businesspeople have contributed to the development of the Republic of Korea, so we are providing as much support as the city can," adding, "Although there are budget constraints, we are cooperating with related organizations to assist business activities for local companies."
Along with the briefing, the city also set up exhibition booths for local companies such as Volt Creation, Crea Cube, Geuma Co., Ltd., and Chowis Company, which participated in 'CES 2024' held recently in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Meanwhile, through this briefing, the city introduced major projects for corporate support this year. The city has allocated a total budget of 13.46 billion KRW (including 800 million KRW from the provincial government) to support 12 projects in four areas: ▲financial support (3 projects including special guarantee support) ▲export support (4 projects including export commercialization support) ▲technology support (4 projects including star company cultivation) ▲others (funding for the Industrial Promotion Agency).
