On the 19th, her agency Edam Entertainment announced, "The title of IU's new song, originally scheduled for release at 6 p.m. on the 24th, will be changed from 'Love Wins' to 'Love Wins All.'"
The agency explained, "We accepted concerns that the important message might be diluted by the original song title and want to show greater respect and support for everyone living and loving in diverse ways." They added, "If there is any phrase that contradicts the message contained in the upcoming song, that is hatred. We sincerely hope that in a world without hatred, all love will win, and that no one will be hurt and the song's meaning will be conveyed."

The desperate phrase used by LGBTQ+ people exposed to discrimination and hatred should not be used lightly like this," and "The slogan shouted in the face of oppression and discrimination should not be consumed as a simple song."
'Love Wins' means 'love wins' and has been used worldwide as a slogan to promote LGBTQ+ rights whenever incidents of anti-LGBTQ+ hate occur. It became a representative slogan related to LGBTQ+ rights when images of LGBTQ+ people cheering with 'Love Wins' placards were widely shared following the U.S. Supreme Court's legalization of same-sex marriage in June 2015. It was also used in support of LGBTQ+ people during the 2016 mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Since then, 'Love Wins' has been a key phrase used at queer festivals where LGBTQ+ people freely parade in the streets.

Concerns were raised that when a highly influential star like IU uses a slogan earned through life-risking struggles by LGBTQ+ people from a heterosexual perspective, it could otherize homosexuals and dilute the original meaning of the phrase. IU and her agency appear to have accepted this criticism and decided to change the title. IU's pre-release song 'Love Wins All' will be released at 6 p.m. on the 24th.
