Smart New E-Class Launched... Starting at 73.9 Million KRW for Base Model
'Best-Selling Imported Car' 11th Generation Fully Redesigned Model
3rd Generation Infotainment System... YouTube and TikTok Apps Also Available
Mercedes-Benz Korea launched the new E-Class on the 19th. The E-Class is the best-selling imported car in Korea, and this new model is the 11th generation complete redesign released after 8 years.
The company highlights digitalization and personalization as the key features of the new car. The smarter 3rd generation MBUX infotainment system allows the use of third-party applications such as YouTube, Zoom, and TikTok inside the car. From the second half of this year, T-map Auto navigation optimized for Mercedes vehicles will also be available. Existing owners can update for free.
The infotainment program is used on a 14.4-inch high-resolution LCD central display or the optional MBUX Superscreen. The MBUX Superscreen is a screen that connects the central and front passenger displays. Even if a video plays on the front passenger display while driving, it is designed so that it is not visible from the driver's view.
A routine function that helps personalize vehicle settings has also been added. This function allows users to set vehicle features such as temperature, interior lighting, audio, and parking cameras according to date, time, or location. From the second half of the year, digital light with a projection function that projects symbols onto the road with the headlamp while driving will be introduced. This is the first time in Korea.
A 48V mild hybrid system has been installed. The upcoming 4th generation plug-in hybrid will feature an electric motor with a maximum output of 95 kW. It can travel up to 115 km on a single charge (WLTP standard).

The wheelbase, which determines interior space, has been extended by 20 mm compared to the previous model. The newly introduced illuminated radiator grille is available as an option. It synchronizes with the audio and interior lighting. Features such as using an iPhone or Apple Watch as a car key, augmented reality navigation, and an automatic temperature control system are also notable.
The first imported models are the E300 4MATIC (all-wheel drive) Exclusive priced at 89.9 million KRW, and the E300 4MATIC AMG Line at 93.9 million KRW. The E 220d 4MATIC Exclusive, which will be released in the first quarter of this year, is priced at 82.9 million KRW. The E200 Avantgarde is 73.9 million KRW, and the 3000cc displacement E450 4MATIC Exclusive is 123 million KRW. Diesel models show little price difference, while premium lines have increased by around 10 million KRW.
Additionally, the E350 e 4MATIC Exclusive and Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid 4MATIC Plus will also be launched. Matthias Veitl, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, "We will once again solidify the reputation as the 'most intelligent business sedan.'"
