The Top Employers Institute evaluated over 2,300 companies across 121 countries to select the '2024 Best Employers.' The evaluation was based on an in-depth survey consisting of 350 questions across 20 topics in six areas: ▲HR strategy ▲digital HR and work environment ▲talent acquisition ▲employee capability development and growth ▲employee welfare and well-being ▲diversity and inclusion (including ESG). The process was further validated through comprehensive assessments and cross-verification by expert groups to ensure credibility.
OB Beer received high scores across all evaluation categories covering overall HR operations, recognizing its efforts to create a healthy work environment. In particular, the company’s success in establishing an 'advanced corporate culture' that leads the spread of values such as diversity and inclusion, which respect each other, as well as supporting employee welfare and capability enhancement, was a key factor in being selected as the top Best Employer in Korea.
OB Beer is leading the creation of a corporate culture that balances work and life harmoniously through various flexible work systems. Since 2017, it has implemented a 'flexible working hours system' that allows employees to decide their start and end times within working hours. In 2022, it introduced a 'workplace autonomy system,' enabling employees to freely choose their work location anywhere as long as remote work is possible for a total of 25 days annually. The headquarters also operates a free seating system to support a creative and flexible work environment.
Additionally, OB Beer is strengthening its unique talent development programs to enhance employee capabilities. Through the 'OBC Young Talent Program,' exemplary junior employees who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective departments are selected annually. Over the course of one year, they receive various job-related training, mentoring, and workshops to improve their skills and support rapid growth into mid-level managers.
