View original imageThe Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation will provide a guarantee support of 3 billion KRW for young small business owners in the Goyang area. Additionally, it presented a plaque of appreciation to Goyang City, which contributed the largest amount of 5.5 billion KRW among 31 cities and counties in the province last year.
On the 18th, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation announced that Chairman Si-seok Jung delivered a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Dong-hwan Lee at Goyang City Hall for being selected as the ‘Outstanding City/County in Contribution Performance of Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation in 2023.’
Goyang City contributed 2.7 billion KRW in 2021, 3.38 billion KRW in 2022, and 5.5 billion KRW last year to support special guarantees for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners suffering from an unprecedented complex economic crisis. Goyang’s contribution last year was the largest among the 31 cities and counties in the province.
Based on Goyang City’s contribution, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation supported 305.7 billion KRW in special guarantee funds last year.
Before the plaque presentation ceremony, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation held a business agreement ceremony for special guarantee support between the Foundation and Goyang City to strengthen the growth foundation for young small business owners in Goyang City.
This business agreement was promoted at the request of Goyang City to help young small business owners, the future generation leaders, overcome the crisis and strengthen their competitiveness. Goyang City contributed 300 million KRW to the Foundation, and the Foundation will provide special guarantees worth 3 billion KRW, which is ten times the contribution amount.
The support targets are young small business owners (aged 19 to 39) who have been in business for more than two months and have business locations in Goyang, with a maximum of 50 million KRW per company.

Chairman Si-seok Jung of Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation said, "There are about 153,000 small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in Goyang City, and this business agreement will be a great help." He added, "The Foundation will continue to do its best to support the business success of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners through prompt and active financial services."
