DGB Daegu Bank Implements Internal Control Innovation System in 2024
Introduction of Robot Process Automation and Internal Control Team Leader
DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 16th that it has established a new internal control innovation plan to strengthen internal controls. This year, along with the automation of branch audits (self-inspections conducted by each branch to verify compliance with regulations and guidelines) through the introduction of AI OCR (Artificial Intelligence Optical Character Recognition), the bank will introduce a dedicated internal control team leader system.
DGB Daegu Bank, which has continuously implemented workforce time reduction measures by introducing the RPA (Robotic Process Automation) system in 2019, will apply AI technologies such as machine learning to its operations by combining RPA and OCR through the introduction of AI ICR. This allows automation of manual branch audit inspections and enables rapid analysis of customers' suspicious transactions by type, preventing financial accident damages through scenario design based on abnormal behavior patterns, according to Daegu Bank.
Through the dedicated internal control team leader system, the effectiveness of internal controls will be enhanced by operating dedicated internal control personnel for each regional headquarters. They will perform more detailed and focused daily inspections, internal control training, thematic inspections, and work performance reporting by headquarters.
