Daegu Dong-gu Office Completes Construction of 'K-2 Rear Site Exhibition Hall' in First Half of This Year
Promotion of Development Projects and Investment Attraction
Daegu Dong-gu Office will work to expand public consensus for the development of the K-2 rear site this year.
One notable point is the completion of the ‘K-2 Rear Site Promotion Center.’ The promotion center will serve as a hub for promoting the rear site development project and revitalizing investment attraction. The location is Ayang View within the Ayang Railroad Trail, and it is scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year.
Inside, there will be an integrated airport realistic video hall, a diorama projection mapping show explaining the rear site development strategy linked with a large screen over a scale model, and other exhibits. Additionally, cutting-edge technology will be applied to create immersive content such as an experiential space for the K-2 rear site urban specialization plan.
Along with this, to expand communication and promotional channels, a K-2 rear site promotion booth will be operated at various events, and promotional content such as videos, items, and leaflets will be produced and distributed both online and offline.
Moreover, the district council’s special committee on rear site construction will frequently share updates on the development status and actively incorporate citizens’ opinions to foster public consensus.
Daegu Dong-gu Office will prepare and implement development plans for the K-2 rear site and the old downtown area alongside expanding public consensus. To this end, expert invitation lectures and workshops for development plan formulation will be held.
First, a ‘K-2 Rear Site History Hall Establishment Research Project’ will be promoted. This project aims to preserve the historical value of the K-2 rear site and pass it on to future generations. The history hall will be utilized as a place for history and cultural education and developed as a tourism resource.
A workshop will be held to prepare development plans for the K-2 rear site and management plans for the old downtown area. This is a measure to compare and analyze advanced cases of large-scale urban development domestically and internationally, conducted alongside benchmarking of advanced urban development sites.
Expert invitation lectures will be held regularly to enhance the professional knowledge of employees in departments related to rear site development by inviting experts in the field such as Daegu city’s chief planner and master plan advisory group members.
