Busan Companies Expand Global Network at 'CES 2024'
Busan Pavilion Participating Companies Achieve 290 Export Consultation Cases
City Delegation Holds Meetings with Company Officials and Economic Talks at CES
Busan City and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced that 13 companies participating in the Busan Pavilion at 'CES 2024' (International Consumer Electronics Show), held in Las Vegas, USA from January 9 to 12, achieved a total of 290 export consultation cases.
Among them, 12 companies supported by the city and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency recorded 265 export consultations, and one company (Koai), which received the CES Innovation Award, achieved 25 consultations. These results are expected to lead to actual product exports in the future.
In particular, among the participating Busan companies, Two Hands Interactive Co., Ltd. (an augmented reality-based digital sports platform) signed a contract on-site with a Mexican buyer (1 unit, $12,000) and is negotiating additional exports. O2Lab Co., Ltd. (smart functional insoles) sold all promotional products on-site and is negotiating exports with U.S. buyers, demonstrating high interest from buyers and confirming the popularity of Busan companies' technological capabilities.
Additionally, Jim Co., Ltd. (Mogabi travel guitar) held an impromptu performance at the Busan Pavilion with a U.S. YouTuber and singer, attracting attention to the participating Busan companies and making efforts to promote their technological strengths and unique features.
Furthermore, the Busan companies participating in this CES actively engaged in consultations with overseas buyers, promoting the technological capabilities of Busan companies worldwide and expanding their global networks.
▲ CA Lab (ultra-compact water purifier) discussed distribution and collaboration worth $350,000 with global companies such as 3M and Amway. ▲ JK Tech (border LCD screen) held purchase consultations with buyers from the U.S., Europe, and Australia, which is expected to lead to exports exceeding 30 billion KRW annually.
▲ GH Inotech (respiratory function self-diagnosis device) held dealership consultations with companies from the U.S., India, and Italy. ▲ Total Softbank (port transfer equipment system) received continuous interest and inquiries from overseas buyers regarding its autonomous cooperative driving yard tractor system.
▲ Kwangsung Measuring Instruments (electrical measuring instruments) held trade consultations worth approximately $410,000 for electric vehicle-related products. ▲ Sign Lab (autonomous multi-purpose farm robot) conducted contract consultations worth $160,000 with buyers from the U.S. and Europe.
▲ J-Co (industrial wireless remote control) held product purchase consultations worth $700,000 with domestic and international companies. ▲ Centpro (smart diffuser system) conducted contract consultations with domestic cosmetics companies and U.S. home shopping companies.
▲ Jim Co., Ltd. (Mogabi travel guitar) held product sales consultations with buyers from the U.S., Europe, and Asia. ▲ Su (fire suppression tape) conducted contract consultations worth $200,000 with domestic and international companies.
▲ Koai (unmanned marine pollution recovery robot) held contract consultations worth $2.3 million with overseas buyers and also consulted with domestic public institutions regarding its products.
The city delegation, led by Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Kim Gwang-hoe, actively promoted and supported the companies participating in the Busan Pavilion and pursued Busan's future strategic industry plans at this CES.
They visited the Eureka Park, local government pavilions, national pavilions, and global company pavilions to observe the latest technology trends and discussed support for Busan companies with participating company representatives.
They also held an economic meeting with the Nevada Korean Chamber of Commerce to discuss exchange plans for Busan companies and met with the CEO of LG CNS to discuss the creation of a smart city in Busan and the expansion of smart technology development.
Moreover, the city and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency plan not to stop at this achievement but to hold a 'CES 2024 Performance Sharing Meeting' in February to share the achievements and experiences of participating companies and invite related experts to introduce the latest technology trends showcased at CES 2024.

Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Kim Gwang-hoe stated, “To maximize the results of participating in the CES exhibition, we plan to further strengthen consulting programs such as exhibition marketing and support for Innovation Award winners for participating companies.” He added, “We will also do our best to prepare for participation in CES 2025 next year.”
