View original imageChoi Nam-ho, the spokesperson, was appointed as the new 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 10th. Vice Minister Choi has been in charge of industrial and energy policies at the ministry for about 30 years and is regarded as a policy expert strong in communication, having served as spokesperson twice.
Born in 1969, Vice Minister Choi graduated from Seongdong High School in Seoul and the Department of International Economics at Seoul National University. He passed the 38th Administrative Examination and began his public service career. He has held key positions at the ministry, including Director General for Energy Resources Policy, Director General for System Industry Policy, Director General for Industrial Policy, and Director of Planning and Coordination.
During his time as a secretary, he was dispatched to the Presidential Office and the Korean Trade Center in Silicon Valley, USA. Under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, he was appointed as Director of Planning and Coordination, responsible for the ministry’s budget while communicating with the National Assembly.
