Nakdonggang River Basin Environmental Office, Education to Prevent Illegal Burning of Agricultural Waste
Continuously Promoting Rural Village Tours Until March
On the 10th, the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office conducted a 'Visiting Agricultural Waste Illegal Burning Prevention Education' in Hyangyang Village, Sancheong, Gyeongnam.
The education targeted rural residents and covered topics such as types and disposal methods of agricultural waste, and the damages caused by illegal burning.
Agricultural waste includes waste vinyl and pesticide containers generated during farming, and burning these causes air pollution.

It is planned to continue until March, when the 5th fine dust seasonal management period ends.
The education is carried out by dispatching instructors with relevant expertise and diverse experience to villages in rural Gyeongnam and city/county agricultural technology centers.
Instead of simple lecture delivery, the program is designed as an interactive class with quizzes to enable active learning by the participants.
